Following our initial announcement in November regarding the launch of the inaugural Accelerating Digital Transformation in Higher Education conference, we’re delighted to announce our first wave of key speakers.
On 7th March 2017, University Business and Education Technology will be co-hosting a brand new digital conference with CoSector – University of London. Accelerating Digital Transformation in Higher Education, held at Senate House, London, will bring together the best digital specialists in the UK to examine the role that digital transformation plays in the future of higher education.

Fiona Harvey is president of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) and senior fellow and associate Consultant (Transforming Assessment) of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). She is education development manager based in the Institute for Learning, Innovation and Development at the University of Southampton.

Andrew Ward is the global head of digital transformation at the University of Nottingham, examining the way in which the university communicates to people of all levels at any time.
Carla Aerts - Moving to a world of Strategic Partnerships to support HE Transformation for the 21st century
Carla Aerts is director of futures at the UCL Institute of Education. She develops digital strategies and programmes to support the Institute’s reputation and reach, having worked previously at Cambridge University Press Education, e-learning for education and on international healthcare portals.

Nigel Smith is head of content for FutureLearn, the social learning platform that offers over 500 free online university courses. Prior to this, Nigel worked at the BBC for more than a decade and spent his last five years there leading digital teams for national radio networks including Radio 4.
