Ready Education acquires AppScho to accelerate digitalisation of higher education

Higher education platform provider Ready Education has teamed up with student engagement platform provider AppScho with the goal of driving worldwide student success

Ready Education, the leading mobile-first student engagement platform provider for higher education globally, has acquired European-based student engagement company AppScho.

Founded in 2014, AppScho is one of the leading startups in the French higher edtech sector. They work to improve campus life through their student mobile application that helps to manage campus activities.

Backed by growth investment firm Level Equity, the acquisition has propelled Ready’s expansion into the European market, cementing their plans to reach higher education institutions worldwide.

Trusted by over 425 institutions, Ready Education offers a student-centric mobile app as a one-stop shop package to craft the digital student experience. The app covers communications, connecting with peers and faculty, accessing campus resources, and managing student’s courses and finances.

Worldwide student success

The addition of AppScho takes Ready’s reach to five countries with over 100 institutions granted access to their digital campus experience and student success platform.

Earlier this year, Ready acquired UK-based company Collabco and Netherlands-based StuComm, both of which are leaders in student engagement software within their respective markets.

“It’s been an exciting year so far for Ready Education and we are delighted to welcome our new colleagues at AppScho, said Gary Fortier, CEO of Ready Education.

“We share a vision to enable students to access the right information, at the right time, on their path to success and are very pleased to start this new chapter together.”

Since inception, their focus and ambition have enabled their student engagement solution to impact more than half a million students. Together we will continue on our mission to improve student success worldwide – Ronald Kouvelt, General Manager of Europe at Ready Education

Expanding the edtech network

AppScho’s partner institutions including Sciences Po Paris, HEC Paris, ESSEC Business School, Ecole Polytechnique and the Louvain Catholic University will be able to leverage a stronger network of resources to better assist their students, deliver the resources they need, and keep them engaged through the use of new tools.

“For the past seven years, the AppScho team has worked alongside French higher education institutions to enable them to offer the best digital experience to their students,” said Victor Wacrenier, founder and CEO of AppScho.

“Our combination with Ready Education is the result of a mutual ambition and represents an opportunity for us to further improve the daily lives of students in France and Europe.

“By offering a world-class mobile campus solution, we will further accelerate the digitalisation of higher education.”
