BETT winners announced

Comedian Jo Brand announced the winners at the Brewery London, with winners including Education City and Groupcall

The winners of the 16th prestigious Bett Awards 2014 were announced on 22 January at the Bett Awards Dinner held at The Brewery, London.

The annual Bett Awards represent a partnership between BESA, Bett pioneers and the trade association representing the educational supply industry, and i2i Events Group, the organisers of Bett, the world’s largest learning technology event.

The awards encourage and recognise outstanding education sector resources, learning solutions and companies. The judges, who are all educational professionals, focus on what works in the classroom or the school setting in terms of design, cost-effectiveness, support of higher order thinking skills and effective learning and teaching styles.

 The winners are:

  10. ICT Exporter of the Year: Promethean Ltd
  11. International Digital Education Resource: Little Bridge World – Little Bridge
  12. ICT Services and Support: Groupcall Ltd
  13. ICT Company of the Year – less than £1m turnover: Room Booking System Ltd
  14. ICT Company of the Year – between £1m – £10m turnover: 3P Learning
  15. ICT Company of the Year – over £10m turnover: Espresso Education
  16. Free Digital Content/Open Educational Resources: Microsoft – Kodu
  17. Marketing Campaign of the Year: Oxford University Press – Oxford Owl Campaign
  18. Educational Apps: Daydream Education – Multiplication App
  19. Bett Exhibition Stand of the Year 2014: Education City

Outstanding Achievement in ICT Education: Lewis Bronze, Espresso Education

Caroline Wright, director, BESA, the sector’s trade association commented: “The quality of entries for this year’s awards has been outstanding. The winner’s products and services ensure the UK ICT industry continues to be recognised as the best in the world.
