Code Academy looks to partner with employers on digital marketing apprenticeship

UK employers can benefit from the government’s Apprenticeship Levy if they sign up to the scheme, which launches this September

Code Academy, a Northeast-based organisation focused on boosting digital skills in the UK, is looking to team up with employers on an upcoming apprenticeship programme launching this September.

The digital marketing apprenticeship will allow successful applicants to put their learning into practice, while simultaneously working with their respective employers. The programme will support approximately 12 learners, with government funding available to support participating employers.

Then Academy itself works with companies of all sizes across England, assisting them in upskilling their staff and helping them capitalise on the government’s Apprenticeship Levy. It offers a range of training solutions focused on the advancement of digital skills, such as digital support technicians, cybersecurity technologists, software developers, and network engineers.

Employers can currently benefit from government incentives of up to £4,000 per new apprentice, as well as gaining access to funding to offset the costs associated with training apprentices, which is typically up to £15,000 per learner.

“Forward-looking companies recognise the importance of digital skills in their workforces, and apprenticeships are a great way to do this” – Simon Howatson, Code Academy

Simon Howatson, chief executive of Code Academy, commented: “Forward-looking companies recognise the importance of digital skills in their workforces, and apprenticeships are a great way to do this.

“We’re embarking on our next programme in September, focusing on digital marketing, and we’re looking for employers to partner with us. As the leading training provider in the Northeast, we’re passionate bout upskilling the new generation of digital experts.

“Apprenticeships are a fantastic way for people to train and they are rewarding for businesses through greater productivity.”

Employers who are keen to take part should contact Code Academy directly via apprenticeships@code-academy.co.uk, or 01912493805.
