Online safety training tailored to your school’s challenges delivered by world class experts

When it comes to online safety, SWGfL can offer you bespoke training for your school or organisation delivered by an expert from our team. We will come to you at a date and time convenient to you and offer e-safety training tailored to your needs. Please follow the swgfl.org.uk/edtech20 link to find out more and book a session!

Our team delivers a wide range of online safety sessions to organisations that work with children and young people, and we visit schools, places of higher education, national and international conferences, and settings for police, foster carers, council and LSCBs, government, health and social carers and Ofsted. All our sessions are bespoke; we discuss specific needs with the organisation beforehand, and use various ways to get a deeper understanding of online issues and how people feel about the online world so we can get a specific bespoke session for your school or organisation.

Our sessions can cover a range of topics, such as: bullying, gaming, mental health and wellbeing, sexting, digital literacy and skills, privacy and managing professional reputation online. Our parent and carer sessions can also be adapted to your needs and focus mainly on providing parents and carers with information about the latest opportunities and risks online, advice on where to seek help and support, and strategies for engaging with their children and creating a positive digital environment for the family. These sessions are delivered by us, SWGfL, a partner in the UK Safer Internet Centre. For more information email us at .

Here’s what some of them said:

“It was an excellent session – very inspiring speaker with a wealth of knowledge at his disposal. Time flew too quickly [and] we really would like to work with you again – fantastic resource and lovely presence.”

“SWGfL has now done two online safety sessions at our school. The trainer was friendly, professional and really engaging. The children enjoy his sessions and learn a lot from them.”

“It was a great day, and all of the people that attended said they found it very useful and informative. The trainer was fantastic and very knowledgeable!”

“Really honest, down-to-earth and relevant training. Will definitely improve my practice in educating appropriate behaviour online.”

The school summer holidays are coming up, and while this means weeks of (relative) freedom for teachers and pupils alike, it also means that schools cannot be involved in their pupils’ online safety in the coming months. This is a good time to squeeze in some online safety training, to ensure young people know how to stay safe over the summer break, and parents know how to combat any problems they may encounter.

With exams and other end-of-year commitments we know that it’s a busy time of year for schools, but with our bespoke training sessions, one of our highly experienced experts will come and equip your pupils of different age groups, parents and staff with the knowledge they need when it comes to dealing with some of the current and prevalent trends, concerns and issues.

The training sessions are a great tool for learning how to use the internet in a positive way, and how parents and their children can engage with it together. While there are several worrying aspects of the online world, there are also loads of really great ways that young people can interact and create their own online spaces.

Reach out and make a difference in your pupil’s digital lives, let us help you with online safety challenges. For more information visit swgfl.org.uk/edtech20
