UK parents granted access to online resources to support teaching during self-isolation

The Staedtler Teachers’ Club UK is giving anyone with children the chance to download a range of free, curriculum-linked teaching resources to use at home

The Staedtler Teachers’ Club UK is giving UK parents the chance to download a range of curriculum-informed teaching resources to use during the period of school closures, offering the learning materials completely free of charge.

The platform, originally created for primary teachers, offers relevant and engaging activities suitable for KS1 and KS2 pupils. The resources cover all subjects linked to the UK curriculum, available for download by registering for a free account and logging into the Members’ Area.

Due to the growing uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic and with UK eduction institutes being forced to close indefinitely, the Club is also inviting parents and guardians of children aged 4–11 to support home schooling and limit educational disruption.

Parents or guardians who are keen to sign up can write PARENT or GUARDIAN in the text box under ‘Job Title’, and include their home address (instead of a school address) when filling out the registration form.

“With our Teachers’ Club platform, our aim has always been to provide support to hard-working teachers across the UK, whether that be educational resources, exciting activities for the children to take part in or just some fun, light-hearted conversation in our break time reading area of the platform and on social media,” said Rachel Owen, head of marketing at Staedtler UK.

“We understand that this is an extremely difficult time for teachers and parents alike, so we are keen to utilise our Teachers’ Club at this time to not only support teachers but to also support parents who may be at home with the kids looking for a way to entertain them and continue their learning.”
