Room54 has launched ‘Student Knowledge’, a mobile app offering students and young people practical advice across a wide range of life areas.
Available for Google Android and Apple platforms as a free download, the app offers mentoring and advice for dealing with issues such as finance, starting further education, wellbeing and even applying for a job. Student Knowledge also has content from inspirational young entrepreneurs and a forum where students can share thoughts as part of a connected community.
Over the last 10 years, Room54 has worked with motivational speakers, celebrities, sporting personalities, TV presenters, leadership and business speakers, as well as hosts, presenters and after-dinner speakers. “Most of our work is with commercial organisations, but we also organise events where speakers present to young people at colleges, universities and community centres,” explains Jan Jenkins, Founder of Room54.
“Many of these speakers have challenging day jobs and you can only interact with a small number of people in a single session – this is where the idea for the ‘Student Knowledge’ app started.”
“The ethos is simple,” explains Jenkins, “We wanted to gather insight and knowledge from as many speakers as possible and put them into a mobile app that could reach the widest audience possible without any direct cost. The goal is to create a growing and supportive community that helps young people navigate life challenges in a positive way.”
