Vietnam university to be first in region to go digital-only

British University Vietnam (BUV) is soon to become the first higher education institution in Vietnam to provide its students with only digital learning materials

The university is partnering with ebook provider Kortext to roll-out the institution-wide scheme, which will provide students with digital learning content from some of the world’s leading educational publishers.

This partnership is one of the first in the AEASN region, and will provide content from Pearson, Oxford University Press, Taylor & Francis, and Cambridge University Press, among others, as students study for British degrees.

Christopher Jeffrey, chief academic officer and founding dean of BUV, said: “BUV has embarked on an exciting expansion programme and has recently moved to a new state-of-the-art EcoPark development campus near Hanoi that was officially opened in September 2018.”

“The prioritisation of the students’ learning experience as they study for their British degree has underpinned this expansion to both attract the top students and to prepare these students for the modern digital workplace and to help them compete on a global basis.”

The official launch of the programme will be in April 2019.
