EdTech Europe, the leading education technology-focused executive level conference platform in Europe, welcomes Stacey Clawson, Senior Programme Officer from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to London for the 2015 event on the 18th of June.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation postsecondary education strategy seeks to increase low-income students’ college completion rates through innovations that can improve the productivity and performance of US universities and colleges and ensure that all students have access to a high-quality, highly personalized education. The Postsecondary Success Team catalyzes creative approaches to existing higher education projects through investment in seven key areas: data and measurement, developmental education, financial aid, institutional partnerships, flexible paths to college completion, personalized learning, and policy and advocacy.
Stacey Clawson is a Senior Programme Officer on the Postsecondary Success team where she collaborates across education, business, and government sectors to develop and foster next generation learning models. Her focus includes innovation and improvement in curriculum and assessment, transfer and learning pathways, and educational technology. Through a portfolio of initiatives and partners, Stacey creates opportunities for low-income populations to access affordable education and complete credentials that fulfill their personal and professional goals.
“EdTech Europe aims to raise the voice of all the players in the education ecosystem who drive systemic positive change,” says Benjamin Vedrenne-Cloquet, the Co-Founder of EdTech Europe. “The role of foundations as true catalysts of innovation in the education sector is prevalent in the United States, so much more than in Europe or Asia. We are thrilled to welcome Stacey Clawson, Senior Programme Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to hear about the Foundation’s priorities and have her share the lessons learned from case studies in the postsecondary education sector.”
