Created around the theme of ‘Together for a beter internet’, topics covered include the concept of the internet and online identity, created for younger pupils, and strategies to make the internet a more inclusive place, aimed at older pupils.
Educator resources include a guide to celebrating Safer Internet Day in your education setting, information about handline disclosures and sensitive topics, advice for talking to the press about Safer Internet Day activities, and information of how to spread the Safer Internet Day word further.
Our team of teachers and youth workers have created these easy-to-use, practical and engaging resources so that all children can explore what their online identity means in a digital age.
– Will Gardner, UK Safer Internet Centre
Will Gardner, director of the UK Safer Internet Centre, said: “We want all schools, youth groups and education settings to be part of the world’s biggest campaign to make the internet a safer and happier place.
“To help them do so, as official coordinators here in the UK, our team of teachers and youth workers have created these easy-to-use, practical and engaging resources so that all children can explore what their online identity means in a digital age.”

There is also a series of short videos aimed at parents and carers, and a general campaign video.
