Groupcall help get parents talking

Communications specialist, Groupcall, is to host a free seminar on how to get the best out of parental communications technology

The event will take place on Friday 5th June at the Digital Thinktank Planetarium within Birmingham’s popular Science Museum.

While the technology within the communications industry has changed considerably in the last 14 years, excellent parental communication remains an important tool and is crucial to the success of any school. As the first company to offer SMS as a way of quick and efficient form of communication with parents, Groupcall will be sharing its expertise and advice; exploring the technological advances and current academic trends in parental communication.

Prior to the seminar, Groupcall will be holding a series of training sessions to show visitors how parental communication technology works, using its tool Messenger. As well as enabling schools to send messages via text, email, voice and Twitter to the mobile and landlines of parents, staff and other key contacts, Messenger also has the ability to translate these into 64 different languages.

Lawrence Royston, managing director of Groupcall, states: “Communication is key to improving parental engagement in education, which has in turn been linked to greater attendance and attainment among students. This event will be a great opportunity to listen to and engage with specialists in this area, providing an excellent chance to find out more about the issues and the solutions available to enhance home-school communications.”

The free to attend seminar will take place on Friday 5th June 2015 from 3:30pm-4.30pm, at the Digital Thinktank Planetarium inside Birmingham’s Science Museum. To book a place at this event visit: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/groupcall-messenger-cpd-event-tickets-16695637100
