Infor, a leading provider of business applications specialised by industry and built for the cloud, have this week announced an agreement with the University of Hull. The agreement will see the university adopt Infor’s Cloudsuite Industrial Machinery solution, allowing students to gain experience in using a leading-edge technology platform while developing real-world skills and expertise in the field of manufacturing and logistics.
The University of Hull chose to partner with Infor’s Education Alliance Program (EAP) in order to support its industry engagement across the Humber region. The region’s manufacturing and distribution businesses are seeing radical digital transformation in the quest to modernize operations, and in line with this, there is an urgent need to ensure future employment skills and demand are met.
Spanning five undergraduate courses including eBusiness and Supply Chain Integration; Inventory and Transportation Management; Procurement and Supply Chain Management; Supply Chain Modelling and Analysis; and Information Systems in Accounting and Finance, and three masters courses in Supply Chain Planning and Control; Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management; and Corporate Performance Analysis, the agreement is expected to help equip students with the skills and experience required to embrace digitalization as they enter industry.
