Khan Academy founder to deliver keynote at EdTech Europe

Online learning heavyweight Sal Khan to share insights and take part in live video interview

EdTech Europe has announced that Sal Khan, founder of Khan Academy, will deliver a live virtual keynote and Q&A at the annual event in London on 18th June

Khan Academy is a non-profit organisation with the mission of providing free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. Capitalising on the digital revolution and applying its scalability and access benefits to education, Khan Academy has developed a learning platform designed to use the internet to empower learners in and outside of the classroom to study at their own pace.

Fast becoming a hugely influential figure in the education technology market, Khan’s impact on the industry has seen him profiled on 60 Minutes, featured on the cover of Forbes Magazine, and recognized as one of TIME Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World.”

During the speech, Khan will share insight into how he and his team successfully built a personalised learning resource that now reaches over 12 million learners in more than 190 countries each month.

“This is an exciting time in history. For the first time, we have the chance to make personalized learning accessible to everyone,” said Khan. “I look forward to speaking about this at EdTech Europe and engaging with innovators from across the globe who are working toward this goal.”
