Casio Projectors is expanding its lamp-free Laser & LED Hybrid projector line up with the addition of the Advanced Series and expansion of the popular Core range. Consisting of eight models, the new projectors will further Casio’s lamp-free line up and bring the benefits of long lifespans, less maintenance and dramatically reduced power consumption to increased vertical markets.
The Advanced series is set apart by its high brightness of up to 3,500 lumens, 1.07 billion colour reproduction, automatic dimming function and 1.5 times optical zoom, making it the most effective Casio projector yet for large presentation suites. Enhanced connectivity options include wireless, USB and LAN with RGB, audio, HDMI and S-video interfaces and a USB power supply offering support for devices such as Chromecast.
Phil Clark, Head of Projection Division for Casio UK explains:“We are continuing to introduce new product innovations to the market and striving to add value by making the benefits of Laser & LED Hybrid technology available for larger-scale environments such as large meeting rooms, reception areas, collaboration suites and presentation spaces.
“Within the Advanced series, the casing has also been designed for optimum compatibility with existing mounting infrastructure, from being horizontally mounted to ceiling, floor surface and vertically. The reliability of this solid state light source is further guaranteed as the whole unit is encased in a dust-resistant structure, resulting in minimum maintenance requirements.”
Since the Core XJ-V1 launched at the beginning of 2015, Casio has doubled its market share within the 2000 – 2999 lumen range, leading to the development of more models with the focus of making the benefits of lamp-free projection affordable. Following on from the launch of the XJ-V2 earlier this year, the three additional models feature an improved 1.5 times optical zoom, RGB Audio, HDMI connectivity and instant light control, whilst still achieving an affordable price point.
With a maximum of just 120w power consumption, switching to lamp-free projection saves on average 35% compared to traditional methods. With no lamp, the light source remains consistent across the 20,000 hour effective lifetime, with no dimming or fading. This also negates the need for a warm-up period, and the projectors start instantly, thus ensuring that no time is lost in meetings. Fixed costs can be guaranteed across the entire projector lifetime with no consumables to monitor or replace.
Casio remains the pioneer of Laser & LED Hybrid technology as the only manufacturer to have dedicated its whole range to it. Reliability for this method of image generation is guaranteed by the brand’s 5 year or 10,000 hour warranty which is well beyond the lifetime of any lamp, and the entire range is completely mercury-free.
