Global technology company, Ricoh, has announced that it will be supporting Royal Holloway’s distance learning MBA students with their capstone consultancy project for the second consecutive year.
The students, who are studying International Management, will be tasked with creating a business plan featuring Ricoh’s collaborative working solutions as part of the assessment process for the project. The challenge set by Ricoh will enable the students to put into practice the business management skills they have developed throughout their MBA programme.
With the end of their degree in sight, these international students will come together on 27 June – 1 July at Royal Holloway, University of London and work in small groups to complete the challenge and deliver their business recommendations to Ricoh. As the majority of students are in full-time employment, they will be able to approach the task and provide insight to Ricoh from both a professional and academic perspective.
Last year we considered the highly innovative introduction of 3D printing technology and how best to market this high quality Ricoh service offering for the UK education sector
Justin O’Brien, MBA Director, Royal Holloway said: “I am delighted that we will be collaborating on this year’s Royal Holloway MBA capstone consultancy project with leading international technology giant Ricoh for a second consecutive year. This is an exciting initiative driven by our MBA alumna Nitasha Chadha, now working in Ricoh’s digital marketing team.
“Plenary sees University of London students come together from all over the world to work in small groups at the end of their demanding degree programme, with the chance to really put their theoretical learning into practice. Ricoh have provided a challenging, real and live business problem for groups to compete with one another, each vying to develop the best ‘out of the box’ business plan proposal.
“Last year we considered the highly innovative introduction of 3D printing technology and how best to market this high quality Ricoh service offering for the UK education sector. Students very much enjoyed the challenge of considering leading edge, high potential technology with a pioneering global brand and I am very much looking forward to this year’s business challenge, which will consider the collaborative tools proposition.”
Royal Holloway’s capstone consultancy project is designed to encourage students to think critically, solve challenging problems and develop the skills required to flourish in the world of business.
