SMART Technologies Inc, a provider of education and collaboration solutions, has launched the first of its new SMART Training Centres with partners, VeryPC.
VeryPC’s SMART Learning Suite opeed its doors in Sheffield, UK on Thursday 7th December 2017. The team will use the centre to highlight the importance of technology, multiple pedagogies, and software in learning to schools and learning providers across Yorkshire.
The SMART Training Centre will be used to showcase new technology, alongside supporting existing customers to make the most of their SMART Technologies hardware and software.
Jane Ashworth, UK MD of SMART Technologies, said: “SMART Technologies, in collaboration with a number of our partners and existing customers, has assessed the best practices and impacts of technology on active learning programs and have taken the decision to roll out training and support facilities across the country, in a move that we believe will benefit both schools and pupils across the UK.
“Increased use of technology, multiple pedagogies and software are strongly related to student success, with attainment – especially in Maths and English – increasing by up to 34%, with an average improvement of 16%.”
