Mark currently leads a group of 56 schools and colleges across the North East region to improve their careers programmes for their students. He supports senior leaders not only to understand their statutory responsibilities with regard to careers education and guidance but also how to offer a truly inspirational and progressive series of careers activities from years 7-11 with specific attention paid to destinations and alumni, employer engagement, 1:1 personal guidance and primary feeder links.

Andy Durman, Executive Vice President, Global Business Unit, Emsi Burning Glass

Since 2010, Andy has overseen Emsi’s expansion in the UK, with the organisation now providing detailed labour market insight to over 150 universities, colleges, LEPs, Local Authorities, government institutions and employment organisations throughout the country. Latterly, following the merger between Emsi and Burning Glass in 2021, Andy has been leading the organisation’s global expansion of services outside of North America. With a wealth of experience as a market intelligence professional, and a particular expertise in labour market and demographic analysis within the higher and further education sectors, Andy is passionate about helping organisations better understand their role in driving their regional economies.
