Education providers in the south-east of Ireland are being invited to a demonstration of what laser technology can bring to teaching.
Laser systems provider, Trotec, will be hosting an open house event for teachers and education staff in Waterford early next month.
“There has never been a more important time for schools to invest in the right technology to prepare students for their future careers,” said the company.
“What’s more, the introduction of additional technologies brings real benefits to schools by removing the need to outsource certain jobs, saving valuable funding in the process.”
Attendees at the open house can expect a variety of demonstrations of what lasers can offer in the classroom, from entry-level cutters to multi-functional systems.
Experts will also be on hand to give advice on lasers’ breadth of application and how to use them safely.
The technology has been used in schools to facilitate lessons in everything from woodworking to fashion, art to STEM-focused courses.
“Lasers have gone from a ‘nice to have’ to an essential tool for industries far and wide in recent years, with education being no exception,” said Bryan Jater, sales director for Trotec UK and Ireland.
“Particularly in schools, an important consideration is how equipment will fundamentally enhance the learning experience. Trotec’s open house is the perfect way for staff to see what makes the laser system an excellent addition to their curriculum.”
The Trotec laser open house event will take place from 3.30-7pm on 2 March at the Greenway Manor hotel, Waterford. Anyone interested in attending should call +44 (0)191 580 1182 or email [email protected].
