Online cybersecurity challenge now open for registration

Technology group Reply is running the 24-hour competition from 11–12 October 2019

October is European Cybersecurity Month, and to celebrate Reply will hold its online cybersecurity challenge from Friday 11–Saturday 12.

This is the second iteration of the challenge, after 6,200 people from 61 countries competed in the inaugural event last year. The challenge is open to both students and professionals.

2019’s challenge will present 25 issues from each of the following five categories:

  • Coding
  • Web
  • Crypto
  • Binary
  • Miscellaneous

The contest will run on a ‘capture the flag’ model, and each member of the winning team will win an MSI gaming laptop. Second place winners will receive Oculus Go, and third place winners will win a Razer gaming keyboard.

Each team can be comprised of between one and four members, and teams must register no later than October 10 at 23:59 CEST.

The online challenge will begin on 11 October at 19:30 CEST and run for 24 hours.
